When I saw the cartoon below on Facebook [posted by my friend Tom Burke] it brought this fine example of why people who know me accept the statement that, other than the occasional beer or glass of wine, I don’t do drugs or alcohol because drugs or alcohol would interfere with the ……. interesting way my mind sees and interprets the Universe.

Earlier in the day [Thursday December 18, 2014] an inquiry had revealed that, do to a delay in processing paperwork, I would not have money to pay my January 2015’s rent because it is Christmas, that most depressing time of the year.
Driving Me to Drink.
You are NOT paranoid…….if the Universe, Deity, Fate or Whatever is Out to Get You; and it certainly seems I am at the top of some Entity’s ‘To Be Gotten List’.
The past 6 – 8 weeks have been wearing away at my ratiocination and sagacity [sanity].
Tonight I hit the melt-down point: the point of lizard brain rage where reason is sundered giving birth to an eruption of irrationality and derangement.
To be rescued by a little voice in my head saying “this is not the brightest thing to be doing; in fact it is no where near bright…..Dumb, Asinine yes, bright – Not Even Close.

For some reason it just strikes me as appropriate to be terminated by the Salvation Army on Halloween.
At 11:21 AM on Friday October 31, 2014 in the office of Community Ministries Director Nate McCready I was handed the paperwork of my termination and in turn handed over the envelope that contained the Salvation Army swipe card and keys in my possession.
